Semesters
The university year is divided into first and second semesters.
First semester
April 1 – September 10
Second semester
September 11 – March 31
Service for International Students
Nagaoka Institute of Design does not offer special classes for foreign students.
All foreign students matriculate in the regular academic program.
Health care, housing, and part-time job placement services are available to all foreign students.
Also available are NID’s professional, personal and psychological counseling services; job placement services and housing assistance.
Student Activities
The Annual NID Festival and several club activities (ceramic, drama acting, Japanese drums, outdoor sports, animation, music groups and others) supplement NID’s education in the classroom and workshop.
Sports clubs include tennis, baseball, cycling, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
